Fifth Circuit Denies Government’s Request for Rehearing

The Hobby Distillers Association is pleased to report that the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has denied the federal government’s request for rehearing in our landmark legal challenge.

Following the Fifth Circuit’s decision in favor of the Hobby Distillers Association and our fellow plaintiffs, the government asked the court to reconsider its ruling. The court has now declined to do so, leaving the original decision in place.

This marks another important step forward in a case that has drawn national attention and highlighted the rights and interests of hobby distillers across the country.

While the government’s next course of action remains to be seen, the denial of rehearing means that the Fifth Circuit’s decision stands. We will continue to monitor developments closely and keep our members informed of any future activity in the case.
